Memorial Day made me think about listing
...some good sites for U.S. veterans to find scholarships and grants with.
Along with regular scholarships and grants, veterans qualify for other programs. Here are some sites to help research scholarships for veterans:
The FinAid Veterans Page
The G.I. Bill website
The U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs - also check out the new Joint VA/DOL Program article here.
Military.com: Busting the Myths about Scholarships
The American Legion Scholarships Page
The Johnson County Community College Page - Veteran/Military-related Grants and Scholarships
Scholarships.com's Veterans/Official Scholarships Bog/Scholarship Search, Find Scholarships and Grants Blog
Another less well-known program helps veterans find programs and help. Here is that website:
The Upward Bound site.
There are also Upward Bound programs that are in many different areas of the country. Find your State program at the drop-down menu right under the picture of the soldier at the site.
I hope these sites are helpful, and I hope your Memorial Day was a good one.
