FAFSA - - a route to a scholarship and more, plus more .gov sites

For new readers: did you now that the official FAFSA form also is a source for local and national Scholarships and Grants?

You must go to the official website. Don't be fooled by other sites that insist you PAY for FAFSA information.  Filling out your FAFSA is totally FREE.

Here is that link: https://fafsa.ed.gov/

A clue that this is the REAL, free site is the .gov on the end, showing it is a U.S. Government site.

Some other sites and pages on the FAFSA site for college students that are .gov sites are:

Student Aid Deadlines (check your state in the drop-down menu)  https://fafsa.ed.gov/deadlines.htm

The PIN page (you use this to get into the site) https://pin.ed.gov/PINWebApp/pinindex.jsp

The Federal Student Aid Page - this page includes important Q's and A's like: How do I manage my loans?, How do I apply for Aid?, etc. https://studentaid.ed.gov/

FAFSA on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/FederalStudentAid

FAFSA on Twitter https://twitter.com/fafsa

And of course, if you haven't already been here,

Thank you for visiting my blog today, and GOOD LUCK on your scholarship search.
