The full-ride scholarship: does it really exist?

The easy answer is yes... like "yes, Virginia, it does exist..." but of course, whenever there is a GREAT scholarship, there are also going to be a great number of applicants. But this does NOT mean that you should not try to get one.

An article on the FastWeb site by Kathryn Knight gives 9 places to look for full-ride scholarships. They can be found at the Army, Navy, and Air Force ROTC, Project Working Mom, Microsoft University, the Gates Foundation, as a SMART scholarship from the defense department, and at a college or university near you. You can read this article here.

Something you probably already know is that you will never get any kind of scholarship unless you apply for it. The more you apply for, the better chance you have of getting one or more of them.

I know that scholarships ARE out there, just like UFO's may also be out there.

It's up to us to believe in ourselves or make that appointment with the local school near us.

You (and I!) can make that time to do some research about scholarships and grants. We can find out where to send our applications and letters.
